Zurgo Stormrender is a Mardu commander from March of the Machine built around the most aggressive spell-and-token combination the color identity can produce. Whenever you cast a spell with mana value two or less, you create a 1/1 red Goblin token — and then copy that spell, choosing new targets if applicable. Every cheap removal spell becomes two removal spells and a free body. Every cheap cantrip replaces itself twice and drops a Goblin. The board floods with tokens while every spell in your hand does double duty at no additional cost.
The deck is built to maximize the density of low-cost spells that benefit from being copied: cheap removal that becomes two-for-ones, cantrips that draw twice and generate tokens, and ritual effects that fund the chain while the Goblin army accumulates. The Mardu shell provides the best cheap interaction in three colors — every piece of removal, every discard spell, every combat trick below mana value three creates a body and a copy simultaneously. Opponents spending premium answers on individual threats find two more already replacing them.
