Whenever another Zombie you control without decayed dies, you create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token with decayed, which means every traded creature, sacrifice outlet, or removal spell still leaves you with a body on the battlefield. Then, at the beginning of your end step, you may sacrifice a Zombie to draw a card, giving the deck a built-in way to turn disposable tokens into more fuel. Scryfall’s rules text also notes that decayed creatures cannot block and get sacrificed at end of combat if they attack, which fits perfectly with Wilhelt’s grindy token engine.
