Vren, the Relentless is a Dimir Rat commander from Outlaws of Thunder Junction built around token generation that compounds on itself every single turn. Vren creates a copy of himself as a token whenever he or another token you control deals combat damage — meaning one successful hit becomes two Vrens, two becomes four, and the exponential growth of the token army accelerates faster than opponents can process with targeted removal alone.
The deck is constructed to get that first hit through defenses and then let the multiplication engine do the rest: evasion effects that guarantee the initial combat damage trigger, sacrifice and drain payoffs that convert the growing Rat token army into a life total advantage, and enough protection to keep the original Vren alive long enough to seed the entire board with copies. Opponents destroying one Vren aren't solving the problem. The relentless part isn't a name. It's a warning.
