Vivi is an Izzet commander built for explosive spellslinger turns. Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, you put a +1/+1 counter on Vivi and it deals 1 damage to each opponent, which means every cantrip, ritual, draw spell, or piece of interaction helps grow your commander while pressuring the whole table. On top of that, Vivi can generate X mana in any combination of blue and red, where X is its power, letting one big turn of spellcasting fuel the next. Because that mana ability can only be activated during your turn and only once each turn, the deck is built to maximize one explosive main phase rather than spread value out slowly.
This deck is built around Izzet spellslinger and storm synergy: cheap noncreature spells to keep Vivi growing, payoff pieces that reward chaining spells together, and support cards that convert extra mana into overwhelming pressure. EDHREC commonly associates Vivi with Spellslinger, Storm, Burn, and Combo, which fits a strategy built on building one huge turn where your spells scale your mana, your damage, and your board all at once.
