Shilgengar, Sire of Famine is a Mardu Angel commander from Modern Horizons 3 with one of the most sinister sacrifice engines in the format. Whenever you sacrifice an Angel, you reanimate any creature card from any graveyard — yours or anyone else's. The more Angels you feed to Shilgengar, the more devastating the things that crawl back out of the ground. Your own graveyard becomes a toolbox. Your opponents' graveyards become a free card selection service.
The deck runs a full Angel package on one axis and a reanimation target suite on the other: cheap or token Angels that exist specifically as sacrifice fuel, high-impact creatures across all three graveyards worth stealing back, and enough recursion to ensure the pipeline never runs dry. Opponents removing your Angels aren't stopping the engine — they're just skipping the middleman.
