Okaun and Zndrsplt are Izzet partner commanders from Battlebond built around the most gloriously chaotic coin flip mechanic the format has ever committed to fully. At the beginning of combat, you flip a coin for each spell or ability that flipped a coin this turn. Okaun gets +2/+2 for each heads result and doubles his power and toughness for each heads. Zndrsplt draws a card for each heads. Stack enough coin flip effects before combat and Okaun enters the combat step as a creature with power measured in the hundreds — and Zndrsplt has drawn enough cards to make sure the next turn is equally absurd.
The deck is built around maximizing coin flip quantity before the combat trigger resolves: cheap coin flip spells that each trigger additional flips, effects that let you flip multiple coins per activation, and enough heads-matters payoffs to convert a lucky streak into a one-shot lethal swing before opponents can respond. The chaos is engineered. The coin flips are not. That combination is exactly what makes the table nervous every single turn.
