Myrkul, Lord of Bones is an Abzan commander from the Baldur's Gate Commander decks built around the most persistent board presence the format has ever produced. Whenever a nontoken creature you control dies, you may exile it — if you do, create a token that's a copy of that creature except it's an enchantment instead of a creature. The creature is gone. The enchantment copy remains, keeping every static and triggered ability active indefinitely, immune to creature removal, sitting on the battlefield as an indestructible record of everything opponents thought they successfully answered.
The deck is built around creatures with powerful static abilities worth preserving as enchantments: high-impact creatures whose passive effects reshape the game as long as they remain on the battlefield, sacrifice outlets that convert creatures into their enchantment forms on demand rather than waiting for opponents to do it, and enough enchantment synergies to amplify the growing collection of permanent copies accumulating across the board. Opponents running out of enchantment removal watch the graveyard of abilities they tried to kill pile up into an unanswerable board state.
