Kaalia of the Vast is a Mardu commander from Commander 2011 and one of the most iconic and feared commanders ever printed. Whenever Kaalia attacks and isn't blocked, you may put an Angel, Demon, or Dragon from your hand directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. No mana cost. No restrictions. Just the most devastating creature in your hand arriving mid-combat ready to deal damage the same turn it enters. One Kaalia attack puts Avacyn on the battlefield. Two puts Rakdos alongside her. Three ends the game.
The deck is built around protecting Kaalia long enough to connect and then deploying the most backbreaking Angels, Demons, and Dragons in the format for free: haste enablers and protection spells that ensure Kaalia survives to attack, evasion equipment that makes her unblockable the turn she lands, and a hand-picked top-end package of the most game-ending flying threats across three creature types.
