Jon Irenicus, Shattered One is a Dimir commander from the Baldur's Gate Commander decks built around the most psychologically devastating donation mechanic in the format. At the beginning of your end step, you donate a creature you control to an opponent — but that creature loses all abilities and gets -0/-2, and its controller draws a card when it attacks. You're not being generous. You're offloading a weakened, ability-stripped liability onto an opponent while turning it into a political weapon that forces them to attack with it or waste the draw trigger.
The deck is built around donating creatures that punish whoever controls them: high-power low-toughness bodies that become liabilities after losing abilities, curse effects that compound the damage of the donation, and enough draw and recursion to keep the engine fueled every end step. Irenicus doesn't win by building the strongest board — he wins by making every opponent's board a problem they didn't ask for and can't easily solve.
