Heartless Hidetsugu is a mono-red commander from Betrayers of Kamigawa with the most brutal activated ability in the format. Tap him and every player loses half their life total — rounded down. At 40 life that's 20 damage to every opponent simultaneously, from a single tap. Add any effect that doubles damage — Fiery Emancipation, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Gisela — and every opponent at the table drops to zero on the spot. No combat required. No complex chain of triggers. Just tap and watch.
The deck is built around two things: protecting Hidetsugu until he can tap and ensuring the damage doubler is in place when he does. Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots get him online immediately. Damage doublers sit behind counterspell backup. A mono-red shell of fast ramp, haste enablers, and enough interaction to survive one full turn cycle before the activation ends the game. The most straightforward kill condition in Commander — and somehow still one of the most feared.
