Gev, Scaled Scorch is a Rakdos commander from Bloomburrow built around converting the smallest attacks into cascading damage events. Whenever a creature you control with power two or less deals combat damage to a player, Gev deals that much damage to any target — doubling every successful hit from your small creatures into a second ping aimed exactly where you need it. A board of 1/1s that looks completely harmless suddenly deals twice its apparent damage output every single combat step.
The deck is built around cheap, evasive low-power creatures that guarantee consistent combat damage triggers: hasty 1/1s and 2/2s that slip past blockers, effects that give the entire board flying or menace, and enough drain payoffs to convert the doubled damage into a life total advantage that closes the game before opponents stabilize. The math catches up fast — a table losing two life per attacking creature per turn runs out of answers long before it runs out of life.
