Doran, Besieged by Time is a custom evolution of the most iconic treefolk in Commander history — a deck built on the original Doran, the Siege Tower's foundational premise taken further. Creatures assign combat damage equal to their toughness instead of their power, flipping the entire combat math of the format upside down. A 0/8 wall hits for eight. A 1/10 defender becomes a ten-damage threat. Every high-toughness creature that opponents dismiss as a blocker is secretly the most dangerous attacker at the table.

The deck is constructed around maximum toughness density: cheap high-toughness creatures that become enormous attackers under Doran's effect, defenders and walls that were never meant to attack suddenly swinging for double digits, and anthem effects that raise toughness across the board rather than power — each one multiplying the damage output of the entire team simultaneously. The siege never ends. It just gets harder to stop the longer the ancient tree stands.
