Chulane, Teller of Tales - Editable Canva Template - MTG Commander Deck
Every creature you cast draws a card and puts a land onto the battlefield. The story never stops — and neither does the engine.
Chulane, Teller of Tales is a Bant commander from Throne of Eldraine and one of the most powerful creature-based draw engines ever printed. Whenever you cast a creature spell, you draw a card and may put a land from your hand onto the battlefield. Every creature replaces itself in hand and advances your mana base simultaneously — meaning a creature-dense deck under Chulane never runs out of gas, never misses a land drop, and never slows down regardless of how much interaction opponents throw at the board.
The deck is built around maximum creature density and bounce synergies: cheap creatures with powerful enters-the-battlefield effects that get cast repeatedly after being bounced back to hand, lands-matter payoffs that benefit from the constant stream of free land drops, and enough protection to keep Chulane on the battlefield long enough for the draw engine to generate an insurmountable hand advantage. Every tale Chulane tells draws another card. The stories compound until the library runs dry and the game is already won.
