Xenagos, God of Revels is a Gruul commander from Born of the Gods and the purest voltron and big creature engine the format has ever had. At the beginning of combat on your turn, target creature you control gets haste and gets +X/+X until end of turn where X is its power — effectively doubling its power for a single attack. A 5/5 becomes a 10/5 with haste. A 10/10 becomes a 20/10. A creature that was already threatening becomes a one-shot lethal swing before opponents can find an answer to something that wasn't on the battlefield last turn.
The deck is built around the biggest, most impactful creatures green and red can produce and the fastest possible path to attacking with them: ramp spells that deploy enormous threats ahead of schedule, haste enablers that stack on top of Xenagos's own haste grant for redundancy, and a top-end creature package where every single card is a potential one-shot kill the turn it lands. Opponents trying to answer the creature find Xenagos already targeting the next one. The revel doesn't pause for removal. It just finds something bigger to double.
