Sheoldred, the Apocalypse is a mono-black Phyrexian Praetor from Dominaria United with one of the most punishing passive abilities ever printed. At the beginning of each player's upkeep, you gain two life. Whenever any opponent draws a card, they lose two life. In a format where drawing cards is the primary way to generate advantage, Sheoldred converts the entire table's most fundamental action into a damage source that compounds every single turn without requiring any additional investment.
The deck is built to accelerate that life swing: forced draw effects that make opponents draw on your terms, additional draw triggers of your own that heal while opponents bleed, and a black control shell that keeps Sheoldred alive long enough for the drain to become insurmountable. Wheel effects are particularly devastating — a single Windfall with Sheoldred on the table can swing thirty or forty life in a single trigger stack. By the time opponents find removal, the damage is already done.
