Reaper King is a five-color Scarecrow commander from Shadowmoor with the most universally applicable removal trigger in the format. Whenever another Scarecrow enters the battlefield under your control, destroy target permanent — not creature, not artifact, not enchantment. Any permanent. Lands included. Planeswalkers included. Indestructible excluded, but everything else on the table is fair game the moment a Scarecrow shows up to report for duty.
The deck is built around flooding the battlefield with Scarecrows as fast as possible and pointing the destruction trigger at the most impactful permanent every single time: Scarecrow tribal creatures that enter repeatedly through recursion, changelings that count as Scarecrows while functioning as whatever creature type the situation demands, and enough five-color fixing to cast the entire Scarecrow package consistently. Every Scarecrow that enters destroys something. Every destroyed permanent sets opponents back. And with enough Scarecrows entering in a single turn the board state opponents built over six turns evaporates in a single main phase.
