Ramos, Dragon Engine is a five-color artifact Dragon commander from Commander 2017 built around one of the most explosive mana engines in the format. Whenever you cast a spell, Ramos gets +1/+1 counters equal to the number of colors in that spell's mana cost. Remove five counters and add two mana of each color — ten total mana generated from a single activation. Cast a five-color spell and Ramos gains five counters instantly, ready to immediately convert them into the most explosive mana surge any commander produces.
The deck is built to charge Ramos as quickly as possible and spend that mana on the most devastating spells in five colors: multicolored spells that load counters fast, mana doublers that amplify the ten-mana burst into something truly obscene, and a top-end spell package so powerful that a single Ramos activation into a free cast wins the game on the spot. The engine doesn't need many activations. Usually one is enough.
