Marrow-Gnawer is the original Rat tribal commander and still the most explosive token generator the archetype has ever had. By sacrificing a single Rat, you create a number of 1/1 black Rat tokens equal to the number of Rats you control — meaning the colony doubles itself in a single activation. Do it twice and the math becomes completely unreasonable. Every Rat you control also has fear, making the entire swarm unblockable by anything that isn't black or an artifact creature.
The deck runs the full Rat tribal package: cheap Rats that replace themselves, Rat Colony and Relentless Rats as the engine that makes Marrow-Gnawer's ability truly degenerate, and enough sacrifice and recursion to survive board wipes and rebuild instantly. One activation at the right moment turns a modest board into an unstoppable, fear-having, gnawing avalanche that opponents simply cannot block their way out of.
