Kudo gives every creature you control the Bear creature type — and whenever a Bear you control deals combat damage to a player, that Bear gets a +1/+1 counter. Every successful hit across every creature compounds permanently. A wide board of diverse creatures all sharing the Bear type means every unblocked attacker grows after every combat step, building toward a board state where every creature is substantially larger than it was two turns ago without spending a single additional mana.
The deck is built around attacking wide every turn and converting the counter accumulation into an insurmountable board advantage: evasive creatures that guarantee combat damage triggers consistently, go-wide token generators that create multiple Bears worth growing each combat step, and anthem effects that stack on top of the individual counter growth to amplify the entire board simultaneously. The king doesn't need a single enormous threat — he needs a court of moderately sized Bears that grow into enormous threats by turn six through sheer accumulated combat damage nobody could afford to stop all at once.
