Adrix and Nev, Twincasters are a Simic commander duo from Commander 2021 built around the most straightforward and devastating token doubling effect the format has ever put on a legendary creature. If you would create one or more tokens, you create twice that many instead — no additional cost, no timing restriction, no conditions. Every token spell in the deck produces double its printed output the moment Adrix and Nev are on the battlefield. A Verdant Confluence making three tokens makes six. A Avenger of Zendikar making ten Plant tokens makes twenty. The doubling is automatic, permanent, and applies to absolutely everything.
The deck is built around the highest token density Simic can assemble: token generators at every point of the mana curve that scale from modest to absurd under the doubling effect, populate and copy effects that interact favorably with the doubled token count, and enough card draw and ramp to chain token spell after token spell in a single turn once the mana base reaches critical mass. Opponents trying to keep pace with the board development find that every spell they answer was already doubled before it resolved — and the next one is already being cast.
